Description

Hardiness: Zones 5-10

Growth Habit: 60’ high with 30′ spread. Large deciduous tree; broad and oval outline with an upright limb habit. Moderate to fast growth rate.

Foilage: Medium to dark green leaves which turns yellow to orange in fall.

Bark: Exfoliating in irregular patches of gray, and tan.

Landscape Value: Has ornamental characteristics. Excellent for urban settings; a tough durable tree that can adapt to different soil types; is heat and drought tolerant; and transplants easily. Bosque Elm is generally free of disease that historically has attacked elms.
